King Emerson came to us in mid December, 2005, via our good friends 
in So. Kihei, Neal & Annette. He had belonged to a man who'd rented 
a first floor apartment from our friends. This fellow moved, and in 
doing so, he left behind The King, and another boy cat who had lived 
there, too. We'd just lost Anela Keiki a month earlier, and we were 
easily ready for a "new" furry friend to fill her void.

Emerson has been a great companion since his arrival here, and while 
(even after a year with us) he and Puddikat have yet to become "best 
of friends," they are finally beginning to be accepting of one another.
